I lost my iPod. I guess my 1st goal of 2008 will be to get a new one. I’m thinking of dumping Apple and going with something a little more friendly.
Other than that I’m gonna just keep chugging along. I’m gonna start the year focusing on my 5K time. I just don’t have the time to commit to anything longer. Maybe in the spring I’ll switch up.

Kevin - I’m still iPod-ful here, but I just bought “The Blunt Object” a new Sansa Connect (4gb memory) that I liked because it’s about the size of a cell phone, controls with a spin wheel (for those of us with fumbling fingers in the gym) and it has built in WiFi
unfortunately, no public WiFi network at my gym, but I added in a 2gb memory card which gives about 19 years’ (more or less) worth of workout tuennezzz and it’s easy to swap in and out new music.
For the price with 8 gb of space, you can’t go wrong.
(But I’m sticking with my video ipod so I can watch movies on the bike!!)
I just returned an MP3 player my daughter got for Christmas because it wasn’t Mac compatible. I’m hoping someday everything works with everything. Of course, that would be too handy. So what does your thread title say?
We actually bought our daughter an MP-3 player for X-Mas and returned it for an iPod nano. I have a Windows computer but don’t mind using iTunes (and actually like it quite a bit). Have you heard of Microsoft’s “Zune"… I have heard great things about that player. There is also the new generation of the Sony Walkman. As time goes on, there will be a ton of great alternatives to iPod… but I think I’ll keep my iPod.
Hey Kevin Great to see you in 2008, I think I’ll chime in on the MP3 debate, got myself a Samsung P2 with bluetooth(Look ma no wires!) I kept on missing phone calls while listening to my MP3 player, so my new head phones function also as a headset for the phone!

Hey Redpiano, what is the usefulness of Wifi on an Mp3 player?
I got the second part, but am still trying to figure out the first part, the Cyrillic text was easy, didn’t see the Japanese or Korean text until I got to work this morning.
6:45 minutes:seconds per mile for 3 miles and 188 yards? That’s way faster than I’ll ever do it. Are you looking for a one-time breakthrough, or being able to run it that fast whenever you want? What’s your best time now?
