Hi! I’m officially starting tomorrow. Today is all about planning and preparation.
There really is no good reason to wait until tomorrow...feeling a bit scattered and disorganized....hence the excuse “Today is all about planning and preparation!”
I found the Scott’s podcast on iTunes and have been listening on and off for a couple of months - I recently became a premium member.
My history includes being very overweight for most of my adult life, currently 125 pounds heavier than I should be. Lost 50 pounds on Medifast 10 years ago...gained it back and some extra. Lost 60 pounds on NutriSystem 8 years ago...gained it all back and some extra. Lost 60 pounds on Jenny Craig 5 years ago...gained it all back and some extra. Lost 100 pounds two years ago on weight watchers...gained it all back and some extra. Ouch! that one really hurt. I walked a half marathon (4 hours) and a whole marathon (8 hours) last year in my quest to lose weight. Survived them both but hung on to the weight. I recently signed up for the Komen 60 mile/3 day in San Diego in November. My plan is to train and eat healthy between now and then....hopefully learn a few life lessons along the way and figure why I don’t want to keep the weight off.
Things I’ve learned along the way....journal everything I eat, exercise at least every other day, stay hydrated, eat quality foods as close to their natural state as possible (the more processed the less healthy), don’t give up - keep trying.
I’m envisioning a long and bumpy road and looking for some travel mates to keep me on the right path and moving in the right direction!!
