Eeeeeeeeeeee!
I’m excited. I’m nervous. I tweaked my ankle on Tuesday - not really even sure how, but it hurts right underneath it, on the outside. Ran on Wednesday on the treadmill, and at 3.25 miles at a 4.5 incline, I was afraid to run on it any more. Lifted Thursday, and did yoga today. I’ve been taking Advil a couple times a day, and it seems okay so far today. Anything I can do to protect it a bit tomorrow? I’m afraid I’ll get halfway through, and it’ll start hurting.
Sooo, I’m looking to psych up a little, and find a way to get a good run on tomorrow!
Happy Friday!

I did it! I did it! Finished in 44:38. I pushed hard - it was hilly, and finished strong. For my first go-round with an 8K, I felt pretty good.  A bit unprepared, as I was unsure how hard to push, but overall happy with how things went. I ran back & forth with a lady for awhile, and turned on the nitro at the end to beat her. When we finished, she said, “Thanks! This was my best 8K time yet!”. I didn’t tell her it was my first. *Smile* Anyway....I’m pleased. Now I need to figure out what to do w/myself next. Not sure how/what to train for....need to find something!

Congratulations on finishing. I haven’t even run an 8K yet. What should your next goal be? Personally I’d aim for a half marathon, then go for a full marathon. Go to running.com and you can get a free customized training program for any distance you want to run. I’m aiming for a half marathon for March since I don’t have the time to properly train for a full marathon before the Little Rock Marathon takes place.
