Hello all,

I just got back from dinner with Scott, and was thinking there might be room in this community to share great finds out there.

We had an amazing dinner at Seasons 52 (in Orlando) and it was GREAT! I know Scott mentioned them in one of the PodCasts...if you haven’t been there yet, I highly recommend it. (I wrote about dinner over on my blog...)

So, I’m on the road 19 nights this month (yes, that means dinner in 19 restaurants). Whereever you are, I’d love some recommendations - perhaps other Community Members would as well - of great, healthy, fun, interesting restaurants!

Hey Jason,

I don’t know if you get to the Boston area much, but my wife’s cousin has a few restaurants that are completely designed for a healthy lifestyle.  They are called Knowfat Lifestyle Grill.  I have never eaten there, but I looked at the menu and it looks really good.  I wish I had one in my area.  I am actually contacting her cousin, because I know the perfect location for one.

The great part about the place, is the menus have the calories and other info listed right there for you to see.  This way you are not stuck trying to figure it out.  Also has a store side which carries supplements and health foods.  It really seems like a great concept.

Hope the helps,
Stu

I enjoy eating at Red Lobster, of all the chains I think it has the healthiest food.

This is great...as Seasons 52 is under the same [Darden Restaurants] umbrella as Red Lobster!

Thanks,

Jason

I enjoy Red Lobster too… but watch out for those famous “Cheddar Bay biscuits” they put on the table… they are yummy and addictive!  It’s real easy to nibble 1 or 2 before my ‘healthy’ order of broiled fish and steamed veggies arrives at the table.  At 150 calories a piece… well, they kinda sneak up on you!  I would just avoid temptation all together and ask the server not to put the basket on the table, but (and here’s a secret...) they are one of Scott’s favorites!  I guess he knows his weaknesses because fortunately, he usually declines my suggestion to eat there. wink

Both my son and daughter have worked at the “Lobsta” (as they affectionately call it) and on a student’s budget made many a meal of those biscuits.  In fact, my daughter is still serving in her college town and attributes a good portion of her ‘freshman fifteen’ to those those tempting little morsels!  That is, until she read the calorie content and swore them off.

I look forward to giving Seasons 52 a try.  It’s nice to hear that more restaurants are beginning to cater to health-conscious folks.  I know ultimately, it’s up to me to make the right choices about what I eat, but it sure helps when temptations aren’t placed right under my nose… smelling oh so good… right when I’m really hungry!  eeek!
