Just wondering if anyone has any healthy food items that I can take to a super bowl party?

I was really good during the holidays but now the cold weather really has set in and life just happening I have slipped in my diet.
So I am asked to take a item to the party, but I wish to choose a healthy item vs the very fat filled yummy food.

Thanks!

Hi seeboo!

When I am asked to bring something to a party, I’ll bring something I know I’ll eat. If you make it, you’ll know what the damage is if any.

Otherwise, if cooking is not your thing, how about a veggie tray? Get some low-cal/reduced fat veggie dip? Combine that with Wassa crackers for extra filling?

Veggie chili?

A festive salad?

Maybe there are some ideas here? http://allrecipes.com/advice/coll/entertain/features/superbowl.asp

CUTE picture by the way!

Great tip Carrie.

If in doubt - bring your own.  And since you’ve been asked to bring something to begin with it’s perfect!

My wife and I will even bring the kind of drinks we prefer.

And the good news?  Bring the good stuff to a Superbowl party and I can almost promise you that you’ll have
plenty of leftovers to bring home and enjoy since everybody else will be into the chips and dips.

We are having the party at our house this year - I’m going to make sure everyone takes their leftovers with them smile

Though I am in charge of wings - so along with the deep fried variety I’m baking some teriyaki ones for people who want to eat a bit healthier…
