I dreamt that all of us here at MTM Community were living in some condo community together. When I wanted to know about exercise I’d run over to Paula’s house and ask her. When I wanted to know about anything else I’d run to Bree’s house. Scott was never around but he had the biggest house, go figure.

What do you mean I’m never around?  I always keep an eye on “the neighborhood” but with all the superstars in our community with so much information to share I tend not overly involve myself.  I do like that “big house” idea though.  smile

That means you better have your MTM condo clean at all times, you never know who may stop by!

Hello everyone and Happy Monday.
THURSDAY April 5 DAY 11
REST DAY
Pedometer reading: 7,039 / 3.4 Miles
I did great on the food today but I went out and indulged in beers and shots. I was keeping track the whole time. It’s unbelievable how quickly the calories add up!  downer

FRIDAY April 6 DAY 12
Spent 2 hours in the gym
Nautilus
4 sets each on 14 machines.
1 Hour

Eliptcal
4.37 Miles
551 Calories burned
40 minutes
resistance set to 8 and to 10 for 15 minutes

Treadmill
Grade 6
15 minutes / .83 miles
140 calories burned

Total calories burned: 691 / not including nautilus
Pedometer reading: 17,164 / 8.4 miles
Did great on food today. I did much better on the beers today. Still more than I should have but less than yesterday. So hard to say no to free beer and shots!!

SATURDAY APRIL 7, DAY 13
I did great on food today. I knew I wouldn’t make it to the gym so I kept my calories in check. I did really well when I went out. Kept my beers to absolute minimum.
30 minutes hard core dancing! Yes, I really danced my butt off! And had alot of fun too.

SUNDAY APRIL 8, DAY 14
Rest day. Had to be at Mom’s by noon. I did do some floor exercises when I got back home for about an hour. I did stretching, crunches, sit ups, ball exercises and push ups. I wasn’t completely sedentary today.
I did really well at my Mom’s. I picked a couple of my favorite things and only ate that. I only had one glass of red wine.
Also, I got to go down one more notch on my belt! That felt great.  cheese
Pedometer reading: 1,447 / 1.1 Miles (So different from gym days!)

MONDAY APRIL 9, DAY 15
Weight 194. DOWN 2 more pounds!!!!  (wow, even with the beer this weekend)
I will hit gym after work and report tomorrow.

Thanks Julie! I have seen 2 lbs of fat and it is gross! When I was a younger gal I had lost about 50 lbs. I picked up a sack of grain that weighed that much and the reality of what I had accomplished hit home. I couldn’t believe that I had made my body carry that extra weight around. Too bad I later gained it back, but that’s another story.

I’m going to have to start doing the tape measure thing soon. I don’t know why I haven’t yet but I will start. And I can’t wait to get to the gym tonight! There’s one particular cutie that I’ve got my eye on. My boyfriend better not show up tonight! (just kidding) wink

APRIL 9 DAY 15

I had a really great workout today. I ate correctly and had a very energizing workout after work. I am feeling very alive right now. My muscles are buzzing under my skin as I am typing this. I didn’t sleep well last night so I was very surprised that I felt so strong when I finally made it to the gym. It was pretty crowded. Mondays usually are. I had wanted to try the arc trainer that Scott had mentioned but it was already in use. I went to my old friend, the eliptical. Usually this machine is also taken but I was having some good luck today. It’s funny. Some people get so mad when the the machine they want is in use. I just have to laugh. Why waste so much energy? I just grab the next machine available or I start a weight session. Simple.

Gym:
Eliptical:
4.52 Miles
542 Calories burned
40 Minutes

Treadmill:
1.26 Miles
Speed 3.9
Incline 6.0
208 Calories burned

Calorie burn total: 750
Pedometer reading: 13,878

Have a great day,
Emmi

APRIL 10 DAY 16
I had every intention of going to the gym this morning. The ball of fur laying next to me protested so I stayed with her. Oh well, I will go after work tonight for 2 hrs. Will report tomorrow.

Good Morning Emmi!!!

I thought of you last night, wondering if you made it to the gym.....looks like you had a really good workout!!!!  I know what you mean about those people at the gym, people get in their “Ruts” and frankly, the idea of doing the same thing EVERY time at the gym bores me, heck, why bother doing that when they offer SO MANY different choices!!!!  I used to belong to the local Bally’s but it was so small that you would wait 45 minutes for a treadmill or elliptical....did I freak out, no.  But hey, now I have no waiting, I belong to the “Zookie Gym"-the membership is virtually free!!!!!  Hope your muscles quiet down for the day (I too have visions of a great massage to help my tired muscles-where is that beefy massuse when you need him?!), we all look forward to your postings on here.....
