Since October, I’ve been having a handful of almonds to munch on during the morning has been a great way to avoid a muffin or some other not so great food. Not only can they be munched on raw but adding toasted almonds to a salad gives the salad a great bite, crunch and flovour hit.
The other recipe I’ve been using recently is smoothies for breakfast. I struggle to eat lots for breakfast so 2 mins making a great healthy smoothie that goes down well works wonders. I got this idea from the Abs Diet book.
Smoothie Recipe
Throw a handful or rolled oats into the blender, add some warm water not quite to cover them and allow to soak for 1 min. Add yogurt, protein powder, a bit of juice and a banana (or berries or other fruit) if you like. If you want it cooler then add some ice as well.
Blend for 30secs and drink!!
Very healthy and keeps me going through a workout and the start of the day.
