Hi All, I have been working out for about 12 months with a personal trainer and tho I didn’t loose one gram on the scales changed by BMI considerably and went down two dress sizes - yay! I got to a point in my fitness were I couldn’t extend myself aerobically due to the fact I smoked (lots).
So, October last year I stopped smoking and haven’t looked back. I was careful not to replace the cigs with food as I had heard about post smoking weight gain but still managed to put on 8 kilos (17.6 lbs) !! No one had bothered to mention that one of the effects nicotine has on the body is that it mucks up your ability to absorb food. So even tho my diet hadn’t changed the amount I was absorbing from the same food was.
So there is nothing for it but to up my game and work harder and readjust the diet.
After a particularly average xmas I decided that I needed to up my mental
diet so bought an ipod and pillaged the internet for motivational
material.
I’ve been listening to it daily since 29 Jan and I noticed that out of the
literally hundreds of podcast and about 10 books I kept coming
back to motivation to move. So I decided to buy the premium membership.
