Sharing the love :-)
23 CommentsA couple of months ago, a bunch of MTM’rs took me up on my offer to chat via Skype Video and it was awesome!
I have to tell you…
I spent 40+ hours on Skype getting to know Motivation To Move folks from all over the world and it was truly one of the most humbling weeks of my life.
You guys are great!
Anyway, I promised I would share some of it with you so I put together a short video that I promise will leave you totally inspired and motivated by your fellow MTM’ers.
Enjoy.
More coming later…
Scott
PS… Let me - and other MTM’ers - know what you think.

Scott, and team… great job! I didn’t make the first cut, but that’s OK.
I think these folks said it better than I ever could.

JIM - I had the pleasure of watching hours upon hours of the raw footage, and trust me, this first cut is barely scratching the surface of the gems I saw! I’m sure your interview will show up somewhere soon.
Personally, I loved your interview where you highlighted the importance of putting more positive things in so more positive radiate out of you, and shared that MTM is a “non-optional” for you. Very cool

I love love love this!!! What’s so hard with message boards is the how visual stimulation aids in personalization and that isn’t there. So I love to be able to see the people that I talk to on the boards and how they view MTM is the same way that I do. Way to go guys!!!

Hey guys - the video was great as is the MTM experience. Thank you for all that you do. PS: Scott - I’m finally jumping off that cliff. Thanks for the nudge.

AWESOME! A wonderful peek into what is coming. How exciting, and how great to see some of the folks who I connected to through this whole MTM experience. Great stuff, as always. Thank you, Scott, Joi, and Carlyn for who you are and what you do. Thank you, MTM’ers for the part you play in my life every day! Did I say, “AWESOME?”

If this is any indication of whats to come with the new site!! I’m way excited now (not that I wasn’t already but MORE). The presentation on this video was incredible. An it was great to see all the members. I agree with everything said on here!!

LOL. Edit?? You know better than that. Scott never edits! And no need anyway…how inspiring. It brought tears to my eyes. Thank you Scott and Joi and Carlyn. I have only been a member since January, but you have made such a HUGE difference in my life. I had been searching for so long to find something that would motivate me and keep me going. I have been dieting off and on for so many years, would have some success, and then gain it all back it all. This past spring and summer was the worst ever. I gained it all back and a lot more and I ended 2009 at my heaviest weight ever!
At the beginning of January, I found MTM, started on a diet that I can live with, and started training to walk my first half marathon, which I did on May 1st in 4 hours, 21 minutes, 39 seconds!! I have also lost over 20 pounds. I still have about 80 to go, a long road, but I now truly believe that I will do it.
Maybe I shouldn’t say that I could not have done it without you, I did it, and I give myself full credit for the accomplishment, but I will say that you were with me every step of the way. MTM was an answer to my prayers. It is EXACTLY what I was searching for and exactly what I need. Oh, and I will be turning 40 on June 5th. I always said that I wanted to be at my goal weight by the time I turned 40. I’m not there, but i know I’m on my way and I am ok with that. When I get frustrated at my stalls in the weight loss, I just remember what you say Scott about whether it will matter how long it took once I am there. That has carried me through many weeks this spring. And “How do I want to feel?” I feel great! Really, I can’t thank you enough. You guys rock!! MTM member for life!!

WOW! This is GREAT! Thanks so much for all of your hard work!! Including all from the video!
To Diana: CONGRATULATIONS!!! Your first half marathon completed! Isn’t it addicting?!? Keep up the great work!

My dearest MTMer’s - you are truly awesome for sharing how greatly motivated you are via MTM. I am anxious to see and hear more on that great NEW website (hint hint Scott!!). Nice job teasing us of the future gooder than better things to come! Blessings to each of you! Rilee aka Erin

Very, very inspiring! I’ve got goosebumps! Your video with the skype calls just shows how many people are glad and changed due to your podcasts. It’s great and I’ve finally got skype with my daughter in London now. Thanks for all you do!
May 25, 2010 08:04 AM
It’s great to see so many people are getting reaping the benefits of your work
I’ve been a member since January and the thing that stands out for me is realising that you can actually do whatever you want in life. By turning up everyday and just plugging away I am now a happy self-employed dressmaker and photographer after so many years of being a miserable software engineer. I always thought that you had to be blessed in some special way to be able to work for yourself!
Oh and I am moving more and generally being more gooder than badder too. Without really thinking about it. Great huh?

Loved the video…it’s great to see other members and to hear their stories. I am so glad I’m not ‘alone’ out there in my struggle to be my absolute best, every day, day in and day out!
Cheers!

Great video! Inspiring!
By the way, what is that, at 4:12? An ant farm? Looks interesting anyway!
May 26, 2010 07:41 PM
Good question… at 4:12 that is…
Sorta of looks like an ant farm. I’ll have to ask.
May 28, 2010 07:29 PM
Wow, great video, ...... and so strange seeing myself. I don’t sound like me.
The tank in the background is my 8 year old son’s vivarium, housing 2 gerbils.
May 28, 2010 09:56 PM
Oh Cool! The gerbils probably love all that bedding in there! My hamster would love it too…but it gets expensive changing even the 4-5 cups we have in her cage. I guess gerbils generate less “moisture” than hamsters too - because my hamster would have the glass fogged up in a week! Yuck!
At any rate, I’ll have to go back and watch the video again - I was far too interested in the backgrounds, the first time!
