The “Staying Focused” Question…
1 Comments Topic: Motivation, Personal GrowthYesterday I sent you a new video about my Flying Time Machine, and I started receiving another flood of emails asking very similar questions:
“Hey Scott - Loved the time machine metaphor for reaching my goals. Over the years I’ve been working hard to speed up my own ‘time machine’ and I just can’t land on those dang numbers yet! What gives? Looking forward to my landing soon, because you’re right - any landing is a great landing.” - Marcus (Ohio)
Here’s the ridiculously simple answer:
The reason ANY goal-setting ‘time machine’ or plan will work for you, as Brian Tracy says, is because…
“You become what you think about most of the time.”
In other words, the minute you begin to think about anything you want in your life for MOST of your time, it truly accelerates you toward your goal.

Test Drive My Newest Program For Me?
1 Comments Topic: Audio Programs, Motivation, Personal GrowthSo today I accomplished a really big goal - something I’ve been wanting to do for a long, long time.
I completed a brand new motivational program for MTMer’s and… well… if I may say so… it’s awesome.
And I want you to…
Be The FIRST To Take It For A Spin
Hey… I didn’t get my reputation for being a really “Persistent” guy who refuses to give up until I get what I want for nothing - but it felt good to check this one off the list.
Like Winston Churchill said, “Never give in. Never, never, never, never…”
I actually get a lot of my motivation from Mr. C…
“If you are going to go through hell, keep going.”
“I am an optimist. It does not seem too much use being anything else.”
“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”
And my favorite…

Do What Makes Your Heart Sing
5 Comments Topic: MotivationIt never ceases to amaze me how life delivers you to exactly the place you need to be - just when you need to be there.
This week, like many of you, I have spent a good amount of time planning an awesome 2010 and dreaming of what the future will hold.
I love this time of year, and this process!
When I get rolling, I always keep in mind one of my favorite principles, “Keep It Simple - Because Simple Works”.
Even so, life gets in the way and sometimes I still feel the need to over complicate everything.
That is exactly what I was doing today until I attended a funeral for a member of Joi’s family and was snapped back to reality.
Life is so normal for me these days that I didn’t even notice that in the three years since Sheryl passed away - this would be my first funeral.
My goal was simply to support Joi and… Read More

2009 Top 10 Countdown: #3 - How To Use Transitional Identity In Your Life
0 Comments Topic: Fun Stuff, Motivation, Personal Growth Listen To The Audio With This PostWho YOU are is the most powerful thing you own. It’s called your identity and you can’t live without it.
So, what do you do when you want to make a few changes in your life and you suddenly feel totally out of your comfort zone?
Think of it this way.
When you decide to change something in your life, you are really changing from one identity to another - with a BIG GAP in between that just plain feels strange.
The trick to fixing that is to engage the power of “Transitional Identities” to hold you over while you move forward - and that’s the subject of this Daily Boost.

I Need A GPS For My Life
0 Comments Topic: Flying, Life In Balance, Motivation, Personal GrowthIt’s been said that once you take to the air, you always look skyward.
That is certainly the case with me.
Learning to fly a few years back and now working on my Instrument Rating, I am constantly amazed that they actually let me fly an airplane all by myself.
It’s been a great adventure and from the very beginning, I’ve always known that becoming a pilot was a lot like learning to live life.
The other day Air Traffic Control cleared me for take off on Runway 27 out of Sanford, Florida.
I was just about ready to go, when a quick glance at the GPS told me everything I needed to know about flying and life.
You see, even though I started at the beginning, practiced for hours and hours to gain experience and even brushed up on my skills with a little retraining along the way…
And even though the GPS in front of me told me… Read More

My Favorite Saying, “I Workout So I Can Go Out”
2 Comments Topic: Good Eats, MotivationFew of the words that come out of my mouth are more powerful than those six.
Ever since I lost 80 pounds… and kept it off… it’s a mantra I live by to keep me happily living in the Kingdom of Thindom despite the offerings made by restaurant gods each and every day.

Ever since I lost 80 pounds… and kept it off… it’s a mantra I live by to keep me happily living in the Kingdom of Thindom despite the offerings made by restaurant gods each and every day.
It must go back to my “Be Prepared” Boy Scout days and it always seems to keep me out of trouble, or at the very least, give me a path back to normal.
But what happens when you don’t “Go Out” and the God just happens to be your own wife in the kitchen preparing… Read More

I absolutely loved his reference to the brick wall. Never mind that the wall was going to be this huge accomplishment (Life). It really is about focusing on how each brick you lay (every day) is put created, structured and executed in the best way possible. Before you know it, that series of “perfect days” creates the “perfect life”

You need to PYOTB for the job well done on Day 6 of the new SMSM program, I loved what you did with the bonus day/ music mix…I tried a few of these in the past from other downloads, but your prsentation was terrific…maybe I am partial to you. You mixed in just enough of your voice, music, motivation and comments. Would love to see (I mean hear) more of this. You made the intervals seem a breeze to push through. Great job Scott. Talk to you soon.
