A Few of My Favorite (Practical) Stress Relief Techniques

0 Comments Topic: Personal Growth, Stress Relief

This week I had a chance to get creative, sit back and ask myself - “What are some of my all-time favorite (and proven!) stress relief techniques?”

Turns out I’ve figured out quite a few tricks over the years. And if you’ve been throwing around the stress word lately, you may want to slip these up your sleeve too.

I’ve had some fun this week putting together a presentation for one of my upcoming speaking engagements. The topic? Neutralizing Stress, Balancing Life, and Feeling Great - my specialty.

I know - I’ve done so many Daily Boost podcasts on this subject already, but I thought it’d be a great idea to pass along to you a few of my personal favorites in the stress relief arena.

So soak these in and start using them today - you’ll be glad you did smile

Release Stress While Getting Creative

2 Comments Topic: Fun Stuff

Over the years, I’ve found one of the best ways to relieve stress is also a great way to get creative.

Every week I produce 11 programs, take several coaching calls, work on my website, my book, and usually speak in front of an audience. With so much going on, it can be easy to lose track of where I’m heading… unless I take the time to remember.

This weekend I had a few hours to myself while my daughter and Joi spent time on pre-wedding plans. To me… that meant jump on the motorcycle and see where it took me.

It was a beautiful day, about 72°, and not a cloud in the sky when I jumped on my Harley and rode for about 45 minutes until I ended up in the little town of Cassadaga.

I’ve been to Cassadaga many times in the past as I’ve studied and learned – it is a… Read More

The FUSION Conference Will Blow You Away - In A Good Way

1 Comments Topic: Motivation

Every day, we get a couple of more folks committing to attending the FUSION event and they are all saying the same thing, “I want to meet my fellow Motivation To Move members”, and “I want MY click”.

FUSION will do both!

If early registrations are an indicator, some of the most successful and motivating MTM members will be among the 125 exclusive attendees - and many of those same folks will be looking for their “click” - that moment in time when you “get it” and figure out how to lose weight, shape up and create a happy life.

You can bet we’ll be passing out buckets of “click” during the FUSION weekend.

I’ll be passing along more details next week but you can get an early peak by visiting - FUSION Conference, March 21-22, 2009

Flight Plan For Life

0 Comments Topic: Flying

As a pilot, I’m always using two of the best tools ever created:  A Check List and a Flight Plan.

The Check List is something all pilots use to make sure they’ve done everything required to have a safe flight.  That’s why I call it a “did I do it” list!  It’s a great asset and make it so we don’t have to remember everything - we just check the list.  Cool right?

The Flight Plan is another great tool used for all IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) and can be used for VFR (Visual Flight Rules).  It’s just a way of making sure you’ve have thought through every possible detail… and let others know what you’re up to.

I find both of these tools useful in the air… and in life.

Over the years, Motivation To Move listeners have enjoyed my flying metaphors and this week is loaded with them.  Be sure to check out Read More

0 Comments Topic: Fun Stuff

Say “Hello” to my friend and Motivation To Move Premium and MasterMIND member Paula!

Paula and I have been friends for years - ever since she attended my classes in Lake Mary over five years ago.

I remember many great times together until Paula moved to San Francisco and we lost track.  Then… guess what?  She discovered Motivation To Move’s tops rated podcasts on iTunes and joined Motivation To Move right away.

Paula is also a great contributor to the Motivation To Move Personal Development Community - be sure to stop in and say hello.

On a recent trip back to Orlando, Paula stopped in for a quick lunch with me and Joi.

Thanks Paula!

Creating a Great Ride in 2009

2 Comments Topic: Motivation

With all the change that has happened in the 2008 - you can bet there will be more than a few interesting “opportunities” in this coming year.

That’s probably why, as I begin 2009, I find my mind and my life to be focused, streamlined and filled with excitement.

Yes, I’m hunkering down and building a strong foundation like many folks. That’s just smart.

But I’m also looking for opportunities to create value and that has me running forward as fast as I can – and loving every minute of it.

No, there are no big goals for me this year – just the continuation of those that have been building momentum for the past few years and are just beginning to arrive in my life.

To get there, I’ll just keep moving with my hundreds of small, step-by-step goals that get done every day.

One more thing…

Everything I… Read More

2008 Top 10 Countdown: #1 – Surviving The Dip

0 Comments Topic: Fun Stuff
Listen To The Audio With This Post

It happens to all of us when we bring self-improvement into our lives.

When we start something “new”, a business, a workout program, a relationship, we’re always excited in the beginning.  Then… day to day sets in.

In Seth Godin’s book, “The Dip”, he explains this is the time we need to evaluate whether we’re on the right track.

If so… just keep moving forward until things begin to roll into phase two.  If not… you might want to consider a change of course.

The concept is so powerful The Daily Boost episode, “Surviving The Dip”, was THE MOST downloaded program of 2008 and came in at number one.  Very cool!

TOMORROW IS THE DAY!

The 2008 Master’s Vault goes on sale TOMMORROW at 11:57 am while supplies last.

We sell out every year and I expect this year will be no different.

1 Comments Topic: Fun Stuff
Listen To The Audio With This Post

It’s been said over the years, “If somebody else has done it, you can too”!

That is so true – in everything in life.

The concept is simple – just model what somebody else is doing and you can create the same results in your life.

Whether it’s Weight Loss, Fitness, Personal Growth – it will work for everything.

In this, the 2nd most popular Daily Boost of 2008, “Thinking Like A Thin Person”, you’ll find out the secret thin people know and how to use it yourself.

WE’RE ONLY TWO DAYS AWAY!

Okay, the answer is no.

This year you won’t be able to reserve a copy of the Master’s Vault in advance because so many folks who did reserve a copy last year didn’t follow through – leaving me with extra.

If you want your Master’s Vault – just show up at Read More

RECENT

Hey Andrea - Nope, no need to register for each seminar. If you registered once then you’ll be getting emails about each call. Or - just check for the latest blog posts here… we’ll keep you in the loop!

Hi Carlyn,
I had registered for the program but then realized it was going to be taking place on nights when I am in school.
I just got done listening to session one and it was fantastic! I am glad we had the opportunity to download it.
Will this option be available for the other sessions? Do I need to register for each session or was I registered for all of them when I registered for the first one?

Thanks!

Andrea

Kalleen - So glad you’re enjoying the SMSM so far! You’re right - this first workshop was aimed more toward creating a foundation for fitness. Each of the workshops are following along with each week of the Start Moving Stay Moving, so in the next 3 sessions we’ll be focusing less on how to get started, and more on how to incorporate a healthy lifestyle for the long term. Here’s what’s coming in the next few weeks:

Workshop #2: “How Bad Do I Want It?”
Feb 10 7pm eastern

Workshop #3: “How Do I Want To Feel?”
Feb 17 (time TBA)

Workshop #4: “Stay Moving For Life - Tricks to Making It Stick”
Feb 24 (time TBA)

Hope to see you there!
