Is Being Efficient A Good Way To Get Fit?
0 Comments Topic: Fitness & ExerciseI returned from my workout this morning and decided to spend a little time in the MTM Message Boards to see what folks were chatting about. That’s when I picked up this note from Mike and had to through in my 2 cents. Here’s Mike’s post.
Wondering if I should be doing full body workouts rather than split routine. All the internet gurus say that unless you’re professional bodybuilder split routines are not efficient. If you do a split routine you hit your chest once per week. That’s 4 times a month. If you do a full body training 3 days a week you hit the chest 3 times a week, 12 times a month. The problem in Scott’s program is that you follow with the long slow burn. That would make for a long workout as you would need an hour for the full body plus 45 to 60 minutes for the cardio. Unless you go to cardio on… Read More

Soaking Wet Good Times
3 Comments Topic: Fun Stuff See More PhotosI really had to share this with you.
Sunday, Joi and I decided to head out for a day on the Harley.
Our plan was to pick up some healthy organic veggies and raw nuts from a local Farmer’s Market, find some lunch, and then visit friends about a 45-minute ride away.
It was a beautiful day and everything was going as planned right up until the time we headed home and found out what a 30% chance of rain really means in Orlando.
We had hardly started our trip when the clouds opened up and totally soaked us and drove us under a highway overpass with a few other bikes to wait things out.
In all the years I’ve ridden a motorcycle, I’ve never had to run for cover – but what a blast!
And guess what? Biker folks a great – even soaking wet!
When we finally hit… Read More

Hi Carlyn,
I had registered for the program but then realized it was going to be taking place on nights when I am in school.
I just got done listening to session one and it was fantastic! I am glad we had the opportunity to download it.
Will this option be available for the other sessions? Do I need to register for each session or was I registered for all of them when I registered for the first one?
Thanks!
Andrea

Kalleen - So glad you’re enjoying the SMSM so far! You’re right - this first workshop was aimed more toward creating a foundation for fitness. Each of the workshops are following along with each week of the Start Moving Stay Moving, so in the next 3 sessions we’ll be focusing less on how to get started, and more on how to incorporate a healthy lifestyle for the long term. Here’s what’s coming in the next few weeks:
Workshop #2: “How Bad Do I Want It?”
Feb 10 7pm eastern
Workshop #3: “How Do I Want To Feel?”
Feb 17 (time TBA)
Workshop #4: “Stay Moving For Life - Tricks to Making It Stick”
Feb 24 (time TBA)
Hope to see you there!
