What Are You Going To BE For Halloween?
0 Comments Topic: Fun StuffThis year, I’ve decided I’m going to BE, “more gooder then badder”.
Well, actually, Joi and I have costumes for Halloween and this year we’re dressing as Zorro. That’s right, Mr. and Mrs. Zorro. Of course, my sword is bigger than hers.
But, that’s what I’m going to wear. What I’m going to BE is totally different.
Why?
Because the real challenge at Halloween comes from those sweet chocolate temptations that we’re supposed to handing to the kids.... and the Halloween party am attending after all the trick-or-treating is over.
With that in mind, the strategy that I will employee this year is the same I’ve done every year since I learn to be skinny and in shape a few years back.
By the way, did you know even the smallest bite-size candy bar can contain over 100 calories?
I know that because the other day Joi came home with… Read More

Guided Motivation Stress Relief Edition Released
0 Comments Topic: Motivation, Personal GrowthToday I had a new experience - I exercised for 90 minutes with the sound of a fire alarm blasting throughout LA Fitness.
Now, if this had been a couple of years ago, that would have been a perfect "Life Gets In The Way" excuse for me to go home and get back in bed.
But we didn’t. And neither did anybody else.
All the regulars just kept moving as usual with the occasional wisecrack about the alarm system. They went something like this:
Scott: "Hey, Mike. Any idea why the alarm is screaming?"
Mike: "It’s my fault. I guess all these workouts I’m doing are making me smoking hot!"
Funny right? But… an absolutely true conversation.
So what’s my point?
In anything you do in life, you can make an excuse, or you can make it interesting.
Okay, I’ve got good news for you.
After weeks of tweaking, I’ve finally release the first in my new "Guided Motivations". This… Read More

Hi Carlyn,
I had registered for the program but then realized it was going to be taking place on nights when I am in school.
I just got done listening to session one and it was fantastic! I am glad we had the opportunity to download it.
Will this option be available for the other sessions? Do I need to register for each session or was I registered for all of them when I registered for the first one?
Thanks!
Andrea

Kalleen - So glad you’re enjoying the SMSM so far! You’re right - this first workshop was aimed more toward creating a foundation for fitness. Each of the workshops are following along with each week of the Start Moving Stay Moving, so in the next 3 sessions we’ll be focusing less on how to get started, and more on how to incorporate a healthy lifestyle for the long term. Here’s what’s coming in the next few weeks:
Workshop #2: “How Bad Do I Want It?”
Feb 10 7pm eastern
Workshop #3: “How Do I Want To Feel?”
Feb 17 (time TBA)
Workshop #4: “Stay Moving For Life - Tricks to Making It Stick”
Feb 24 (time TBA)
Hope to see you there!
